Kawes ti Balligi Christmas Gift to Barangay Villamar, Caoayan

Christmas is the happiest time of the year. A time for merriment at home, offices and different institutions. Everywhere in the world, people are busy preparing for exchange gift, foods, parties, etc. But the true essence of Christmas is giving and sharing what we have especially to the needy, leaving abounding love, teeming joy in their hearts, assuring them that amidst the hardships in life there are still good hearts and souls who are always willing to give love and share the joy of Christmas.

JCS Foundation Kawes ti Ballaigi once again opened their arms to the the indigents when Caoayan Mayor Germie Singson Goulart joined hands with the Foundation Chairman Jeremias C. Singson in the distribution of relief goods/imported used clothings. The Barangay of Villamar, Caoayan was chosen as the recipient of this humanitarian service. The residents of Villamar, being the poorest of the poor, are always the victims of typhoons every year. The JCS Team then allocated imported used clothing’s as Christmas gifts to our poverty-stricken brothers and sisters of Villamar.

The Ilocano Association of Australia headed by Mr. Reynaldo Florendo and Mrs. Citang Lazo Hoersch who coordinated with the JCS Foundation through the good-hearted Founder Jerry Singson, sent dozens of Balikbayan boxes full of relief goods, (used clothings, blankets bags shoes among others for our indigent province mates. Other donors also came from Canada and USA.

At 3:00 in the afternoon of December 23, 2010, the JCS Team together with the Municipality of Caoayan Staffs lead by the energetic Mayor Germie Singson Goulart, headed towards Barangay Villamar, Caoayan to personally hand in the goods as Christmas gifts to the barangay residents. Joys and excitements were apparent on the faces of the cheerful beneficiaries as they were given the freedom to choose the goods for their families. More than 200 recipients benefited from this goodwill project. After the residents got hold of their Christmas gifts, the team then left the place with joyful hearts knowing that this Christmas they were able to give love significantly to our indigent province mates.
